
MVES - After a morning of ACT Aspire testing, fourth graders spent the afternoon experimenting with the viscosity of lava.

We did not have one student in 3rd or 4th grade absent today! And let us also brag on our 3rd and 4th grade students! They showed up and worked hard! Two more days!! MVES - Our 3rd and 4th grade students at Mountain View Elementary will be taking the state assessment, the ACT Aspire, starting tomorrow, Tuesday, April 25 through Thursday, April 27. Please make sure your student gets plenty of rest each night and is at school by 8:00 each morning. We appreciate you helping us help your child succeed!!


MVES - First graders had a blast learning about the plant life cycle and planted some rye grass to watch it grow!🪴





MVES - First grade learned about saving money today and how banks work! 💵 Special thanks to Centennial Bank for doing this every year!





MVES - MV's Got Talent will be tonight from 6-8 p.m. in the multi-purpose building. Doors will open at 5:30 so you may view students' art exhibits prior to the talent show.
Student performers need to be in the multi-purpose room by 5:45, unless other arrangements have been made with Mrs. McCool.
Parents may purchase pictures of performing students. Information will be available at the door and below.
We will have a donation jar at the door to benefit our Fine Arts program.
We are looking forward to seeing you tonight to watch our Mountain View Elementary students SHINE!!!



MVES - If your child will be starting kindergarten this fall, they are eligible for KinderBoost this summer. Spaces are limited. Please see information in the picture below.


MVES - Have you ever wondered how your hand and fingers move?!?! Students discovered the mechanism by which their muscles control their bones to move their bodies. They constructed a model of a human finger and observed how pulling on a string (a model for tendons) causes it to bend at the joints. We love to learn how things work!!

MVES - Today, Mrs. Branscum's class made “rain” fall on paper mountains to investigate and observe the patterns of how water and rivers flow.









MVES - We are so proud of our 4th grade Music Roots students. They have worked so hard learning their instruments this year and did a wonderful job at their recital.
We would like to thank all of the dedicated volunteers who make this program possible. 🎶



MVES - Today, we kicked off our Earth Day module by cleaning up our playground and sorting recyclables from garbage. We even got the chance to visit with a goose this morning and a toad this afternoon! They were glad to see nature being taken care of. 😁

MVES - Registration for Pre-K and Kindergarten at Mountain View will be Thursday, April 6, 2023, from 8:00 – 12:00 and 1:00 – 4:00 in the Kindergarten Building.
Documents required at registration for students going into Kindergarten
are immunization records, official birth certificate and social security card. Kindergarten students are required to have a physical before attending school. Students must be five on or before August 1, 2023, to enroll in kindergarten for the 2023-2024 school year
Pre-K students will need an updated immunization record, official birth certificate, social security card, and current proof of income or 2022 tax return. Pre-K students must also have a physical before attending school. Student must be three or four on or before August 1, 2023, to be eligible to attend pre-kindergarten for the 2023-2024 school year.

MVES - It was a BRIGHT day in fourth grade as the students investigated how electrical energy requires a circuit by making their own mini flashlights from LEDs, button batteries, and strips of aluminum foil.
