
MVES - Once upon a time, pumpkins were sent home to decorate. It was for the "Storybook Pumpkin" Contest. The students and their families understood the assignment. And they decorated happily ever after. The End.











MVES - What a storybook ending for the Save the Children "Storybook Pumpkin" Contest!! We had over 150 pumpkins returned and you guys did some amazing work. Thank you to all the families who participated. Our grade winners were as follows:
1st : Jimmie - "Rainbow Fish"
2nd: Alex - "Pinocchio"
3rd: Dot - "Narnia"
4th: Talon - "Captain Underpants"






MVES - There must be some fairy godmothers out there changing our pumpkins!!! Save the Children is hosting a "Storybook Pumpkin" decorating contest. All pumpkins must be returned by Friday, October 11. Bippity, Boppity, Boo!!








MVES - It's National Fire Prevention Week. We had a visit from the Mountain View Volunteer Fire Department and the Mountain View Police Department. Thank you for the safety tips and for keeping our students safe! We appreciate each of you taking time for our students. The fire truck and gear were the highlights of the presentation!








MVES - Students in Mrs. Lopez's second grade made their own cities or towns for their story "Mattland" this week!






MVES - Mrs. Crymes' first graders took time to acknowledge the hard work our janitors do during the day and at night to keep our school looking great! Hadley and Cooper helped deliver their message after school. Thank you, Mr. Floyd, Ms. Lori, and Mr. Jake!! We appreciate you all!




MVES - What a night under the big top!!! Thank you to all of the parents for bringing your children to the MVES Literacy Family Night Carnival and to Centennial Bank for sponsoring the event. We also appreciate our teachers, staff, and MVHS Beta Club members who give their time to allow families a night of fun and learning!

MVES - Who knew phonics and morphology could be so fun? If they didn't know before the lessons, our fourth graders knew after it!









MVES - Meet Dot, our very own published author. Last school year, Dot, along with over 100 other MVES students, participated in the National Young Author's Fair (NYAF). Her book, "Eleanor's Big Night" was selected to be published! NYAF is considered the "largest and most prestigious book-writing event for school students across the United States." Congratulations, Dot! MVES is so proud of your accomplishment!!
